INTRODUCING
Wake Up Sleepy Buddha
the BOOK
Beyond Mindfulness: A Way In
When it comes to meditation, many of us begin with mindfulness. It’s a vital starting point, but eventually, we find ourselves wanting to go deeper.
This is often where the path gets difficult.
Teaching can suddenly feel overwhelming, overly intellectual, or like they simply weren’t written for someone living a modern, busy life.
There is a gap between this initial step and the profound depth of tradition — I believe we need a way to bridge these sides that doesn’t require watering the teachings down.
Our community needs an accessible way to connect ancient practices with modern life.
This is why I’ve launched a Kickstarter to bring Wake Up Sleepy Buddha to life.
Bridging Two Worlds
I’ve spent the last twenty-five years inhabiting the space between these worlds — both as a practitioner and a teacher, while also working as a psychotherapist. My work has always been about this specific cultural translation, connecting traditional wisdom with the reality of modern culture.
Wake Up Sleepy Buddha is the culmination of those decades of work and study balanced by my own time on the cushion.
In writing this book I’ve created a collection of what I’ve learned working with some of the most revered teachers in the world, distilled into a form that can actually be shared, understood and, most importantly, used.
A look inside…
Spanning roughly 650 pages, this book is fully illustrated and meticulously laid out to make complex traditions and concepts feel immediate and accessible.
A look inside…
Because this is a project born out of personal commitment to the practice, it isn’t just a book you read once and abandon to the dust bunnies.
I hope that it will be a manual you return to over and over to support the evolution of your practice over time.
Your Support Matters
To keep the integrity of this vision intact, I’m choosing to fund the final stages — copy editing, original illustrations and the first physical printing — through this community.
By publishing independently, this book stays true to my lived experience and the teachings without needing to fit itself into a marketable box.
Because this book isn’t just about understanding Buddhist ideas
it’s about how we show up in our lives,
how we suffer,
how we care for each other,
and what it means to actually wake up in the middle of this very human life.
Wake Up Sleepy Buddha is coming!
