Retreats

My approach to retreats and workshops is welcoming, supportive, and accessible to a wide range of experience levels.

Whether you are new to meditation or have been practicing for years, you will find guidance, structure, and a community that fosters deep exploration.

Why retreats & workshops?!

We don’t need these experiences to meditate—but stepping away from daily responsibilities can make it much easier to reconnect with practice.

Life is full of distractions, and even with the best intentions, our meditation habits can fade into the background. Retreats offer a way to reset: to experience deep presence, to remember why we practice, and to develop the kind of familiarity that makes meditation more accessible in daily life.

Ultimately, meditation is about recognizing and becoming familiar with our natural capacities—peace, spaciousness, love, and wisdom. These are always present, but they can become obscured by the habits of daily life.

Retreats and workshops provide the outer structure and support to reconnect with these inner qualities so that we can more easily access them anytime, anywhere.

So, the point of practicing on a retreat is to be able to practice in the rest of life.

We lean into the outer refuge of a special place, a special community, and special conditions in order to develop familiarity with our inner refuge — qualities of the heart and mind that are always right here.

We want to be careful mistaking the outer refuge as the thing. At the same time, we often need that nudge of outer refuge to get back in touch.
